Our Policies.

  • Cancellations:

    While we appreciate cancellations as much in advance as possible, there are no penalties for cancellations unless we are already en route to your home. We understand and try to accommodate the ever-changing schedules we all keep.

  • Weather Policy:

    Although it doesn’t happen often, there are rare times when we feel that walks should be abbreviated in the interest of the dog and the walker. On these occasions, we limit the walks to “business only”.

    Please see these conditions below:

    1. Heat - 95 degrees and above

    2. Cold - 25 degrees and below

    3. Frequent lighting nearby

    4. Ice - sidewalks coated

  • Supplies provided by the pet owner:

    Each pet owner should provide certain standard supplies for us (especially for vacation care). This includes paper towels, dog bags, litter scoops, cleaning supplies, leash, towel for muddy dog feet for rainy days and a place to dispose of trash.

    KEYS:

    • We require access to a minimum of 2-3 copies of house keys for homes for which we do vacation care.

    • Keys may be provided by the pet owner or extras may be made by PawPaw PetCare.

    • All keys may remain in the possession of the pet owner between services if requested.

  • Communications:

    It is our routine to send a report after each daily walk and frequently during vacation care. This report lets the owner know how everything went and what bathroom success was had!

  • Payment Policy:

    For regular weekday walks, it is acceptable to make the payment at the beginning of that week. We request payment be made by the end of the week at the latest. Vacation care payments must be paid within 24 hours of the owner’s arrival home. Venmo, check or cash is accepted.

  • Scheduled walk times:

    We ask that the pet owner provide a time window for the requested walk or visit. A time window of at least 2 hours is suggested. We make many visits per day to many homes and some stops require extra time. We need the flexibility of the time windows to allow us all the time we need for each pet.
